The Comprehensive POCUS Training Program is a practical, competency-based course designed to equip healthcare professionals with essential bedside ultrasound skills for faster and more accurate obstetric decision-making. Modules covered include: 1. Ultrasound Physics & Knobology: Learning machine controls (depth, gain, focus) and probe handling to get a clear image. 2. First-Trimester Confirmation: Checking inside the uterus to confirm an active pregnancy, measure the embryo for accurate due dates, and rule out ectopic pregnancy. 3. Fetal Cardiac Activity: Using ultrasound to quickly detect a fetal heartbeat and measure the fetal heart rate. 4.Fetal Number & Presentation: Determining if there are multiple babies and checking if the baby is head-down, breech, or sideways before delivery. 5. Placental Localization: Finding where the placenta is attached to check for dangerous conditions. 6. Amniotic Fluid Volume: Measuring the fluid levels around the baby. 7. Basic Fetal Biometry: Measuring the baby’s head and thigh bone to estimate gestational age and track growth in later stages of pregnancy.
